The Executive Director of ENNY Foundation, Emmanuel Ntow Nyarko, has donated some food items, toiletries and an undisclosed amount of money to the Cross Country Women Ministry Foundation in Larteh Akuapem in the Eastern Region of Ghana.
Mr. Nyarko, assisted by his administrators, made the donations to mark his birthday and that of his son, Nana Kofi. The donations were also an expression of ENNY’s core values of collaboration and community.
The Cross Country Women Ministry Foundation is an organisation which supports children, teenagers and young adults with Autism, Down syndrome, Cerebral palsy and other physical disabilities.
Presenting the items to the women, Mr. Nyarko reiterated the need to work together as a community to support children with special needs.
“We all need to support one another to take care of these precious gifts God has blessed our world with,” Mr. Nyarko said. “My son, Nana Kofi and I celebrate our birthday today and we would like to share the joy of a new year with you all. Birthdays are not just about eating, drinking and dancing, but they are also about sharing and reaching out to others.”
He pledged to support the Cross Country Women Ministry Foundation to renovate their building and to install a disability friendly entrance to the facility. He also assured the women of his assistance in the recruitment and training of volunteers and caregivers.
