On Saturday, 25th April 2026, ENNY Foundation proudly participated in the AWARE 2026 Autism Awareness Walk, an impactful advocacy initiative organized by Nature’s Sprout Foundation. The walk commenced at 6:30 a.m. from Nature’s Sprout Academy in North Legon. The walk brought together professionals, caregivers, advocates, and organizations united by a shared mission: to promote awareness, inclusion, and support for individuals living with autism in Ghana.
At this year’s walk, ENNY Foundation was represented by Emmanuel Nyarko (Founder & CEO) and two dedicated facilitators Nicholas Tetteh and Celestina Sakyiwaa. Their presence underscored ENNY Foundation’s ongoing commitment to advocacy, collaboration, and community engagement within the autism support ecosystem.
Strengthening Partnerships for Greater Impact
The invitation extended by Nature’s Sprout Foundation reflects a growing recognition of ENNY Foundation’s work in supporting children with autism and their families through structured, evidence-based interventions. As an organization deeply rooted in providing home support services, inclusive education assistance, and parent-centered therapy models, ENNY Foundation continues to collaborate with like-minded institutions to expand impact locally and beyond Ghana’s borders.
Participating in AWARE 2026 provided a valuable opportunity to:
- Engage with other stakeholders in the special needs sector
- Share practical insights on early intervention and inclusive practices
- Strengthen partnerships that enhance service delivery for children with autism
Advocacy Through Action: Walking for Awareness
AWARE (Autism Walk for Advocacy, Recognition & Empowerment) is more than just a walk, it is a platform for amplifying voices, breaking stigma, and fostering informed conversations around autism. Following the success of AWARE 2025, this year’s event continues to build momentum toward a more inclusive society.
The 2026 theme, “Gut Health and Autism,” brought attention to an often overlooked but increasingly important area in autism care. It highlighted the need for a holistic approach that considers not only behavioural and developmental interventions but also physiological factors that may influence a child’s overall well-being.
By joining the walk, ENNY Foundation reaffirmed its belief that awareness must go hand-in-hand with education, acceptance, and practical support systems.

A Unified Commitment to Inclusion in Ghana
Events like AWARE 2026 demonstrate the power of collective advocacy. When organizations, families, and professionals unite, they create stronger support systems and drive meaningful change.
For ENNY Foundation, participation in this walk is part of a broader mission:
- To increase autism awareness across communities in Ghana
- To promote early diagnosis and intervention
- To empower families with knowledge and practical tools
- To advocate for inclusive education and social participation

Looking Ahead
ENNY Foundation remains committed to building partnerships that enhance the quality of life for children with autism and their families.
Engagements like AWARE 2026 are not just events, they are stepping stones toward a future where every child, regardless of ability, is supported, understood, and given the opportunity to thrive.
We extend our appreciation to Nature’s Sprout Foundation for the invitation and for their continued dedication to advancing autism awareness in Ghana.
