It’s the month of April; we get to shine more light on Autism Spectrum Disorder.

As part of the awareness and education, there was a panel discussion on Hope Channel Ghana’s Consulting Room programme on Monday 10th April, 2023. The panelists were Dr. Gloria Amponsah-Kodua, a general practitioner and the director of Healthy Kids Foundation in Kumasi, Mr. Emmanuel Ntow Nyarko, the director of ENNY Foundation and Mr. Clement Effah, a Speech Pathologist. The Consulting Room was hosted by Dr. Naa Ayikaikor Aning.

Dr. Kodua stated that, “we need to create awareness because children with autism can be helped; but if you don’t do anything about it, they are going to get worse.”

The entire discussion, can be followed on https://youtu.be/TQDltZFXTl0

Remember, seek early intervention!

Don’t forget to light it up blue for Autism Awareness and Acceptance!
